The 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series heads north to historic New England Dragway this weekend for the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto, the eighth of 20 events scheduled this season.

This week, the PlayNHRA favorites include Shawn Langdon in Top Fuel, Matt Hagan in Funny Car, and Dallas Glenn in Pro Stock. The event will be part of the PlayNHRA initiative, where drag racing fans will once again have the opportunity to engage in fantasy games, gaming, and betting for this event. Betting markets feature Professional classes, where fans can wager on event winners, low elapsed time of the event, head-to-head matchups, and season champions.

Below are the opening odds as provided by Alt Sports Data.

(Note: In American sports betting, odds are typically expressed with a plus (+) or minus (–) symbol followed by a number. For example, +200 signifies the amount a bettor could win if wagering $100. If the bet works out, the player will receive a total payout of $300; $200 profit + $100 initial stake.)

TOP FUEL

Shawn Langdon continues to dominate the Top Fuel class as he picked up his fourth win of the season last week in Maryland, and he's got a 20-3 record this season in elimination rounds. Given his performance, Langdon is the favorite with opening odds of +550, meaning a $10 wager would return $65.00 should he win the event.

Langdon’s teammate, Doug Kalitta, has been able to keep pace, so he's just a fraction behind in terms of odds at +600, while Josh Hart, Justin Ashley, and Tony Stewart each have a price of +800 for openers.

Leah Pruett and Maddi Gordon each come in at +900, while Antron Brown and Billy Torrence are at +1000. A bit further down the order, Clay Millican (+1200), Will Smith (+1400), and Shawn Reed (+1400) represent solid value bets, while eight-time world champ Tony Schumacher remains a surprising long shot at +2500.

FUNNY CAR

No big surprise here as the Funny Car field continues to be wide open with the top six drivers in the class priced at 10-1 or shorter. That's not the least bit shocking because there have already been five different winners in the first seven races of the season, with several others making it to final rounds.

The Epping field is once against led by world champions Matt Hagan at +550 and Ron Capps at +600, with two-time 2026 winner Chad Green in the mix at +700. Perhaps the biggest mover of the week is Maryland winner Austin Prock, who overcame his early-season troubles. The two-time and reigning champion comes off at +700.

Georgia winner Jordan Vandergriff and J.R. Todd share opening odds of +800, representing great value for two winning entries.

Those who might be considered long shots include Jack Beckman and Cruz Pedregon at +1000. Both drivers struggled earlier this season but have shown more positive results lately.

Further down the order, Alexis DeJoria is at +1200, with Spencer Hyde at +1300, a price shared with Daniel Wilkerson's Scag entry. Blake Alexander is +1700, while Del Worsham is also intriguing at a hefty +2200.

PRO STOCK

Despite recent advances by the Elite Motorsports team, it was Greg Anderson once again going the distance in Maryland, while reigning world champ Dallas Glenn was in his fourth final of the season. As a result, the KB Titan teammates are once again favorites, with Glenn coming off at +300 while Anderson is a fraction behind at +330.

The oddsmakers continue to look favorably upon Gainesville and Charlotte winner Matt Hartford, who remains third at +800, while Matt Latino also holds steady at +900.

Elite Motorsports drivers Greg Stanfield, Jeg Coughlin Jr., Erica Enders, Aaron Stanfield, and Troy Coughlin Jr. are also midpack with odds between +1100 and +1600. The Elite team experienced a recent resurgence in Chicago, and they were strong again in Maryland, particularly in qualifying.

In terms of long shots, Pro Stock always delivers with several interesting prospects, including Deric Kramer at +1900, Cody Anderson at +2000, Eric Latino at +2500, and Kenny Delco, who went to the quarterfinals in Maryland at +3000.
