The 2024 edition of the NHRA Midwest Nationals continued the event's long history as a pivotal race in the NHRA Countdown to the Championship playoffs and an event where the unexpected can and usually does happen.

NHRA’s women of power continue to create history during the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, with the latest milestone coming at the NHRA Midwest Nationals, where, for the first time in class history, four women qualified for the Top Fuel field.

The official start of the Texas NHRA FallNationals at the historic Texas Motorplex begins Oct. 10 with an epic lineup of NHRA competitors at the Pre-Stage Fan Fest in downtown Waxahachie, Texas.

The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship continues at this weekend's 13th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway. Starting a day late due to weather has done nothing to dampen the energy at the third event of the six-race playoffs.

NHRA and World Wide Technology Raceway officials announced that due to continuing inclement weather, Friday racing has been canceled at the NHRA Midwest Nationals. Friday ticket holders can exchange their tickets for Saturday or Sunday tickets, or use toward purchase of a 2025 ticket.

Richard Copertino, Paul Northrop, David Harvey, Kevin Sutliffe, and Danny Hoff took home titles at the Division 1 Summit Series Finals to earn berths to the National Championship in Las Vegas. Jeff Krushinskie will join them as the Super Pro wild card.
