Below are the opening odds as provided by Alt Sports Data.

(Note: In American sports betting, odds are typically expressed with a plus (+) or minus (–) symbol followed by a number. For example, +200 signifies the amount a bettor could win if wagering $100. If the bet works out, the player would receive a total payout of $300 ($200 profit + $100 initial stake.)

TOP FUEL

Last week in Richmond, Doug Kalitta cashed as one of the favorites following a final round win over Kalitta Motorsports teammate Shawn Langdon. Kalitta is once again among the favorites this week with a +742 opening price meaning a $10 wager would return a profit of $74.20. A similar price can be found for favorites Justin Ashley and Steve Torrence while Tony Stewart sits at +851 following a solid semifinal showing last week. It’s worth noting that there are 20 cars entered for the Norwalk race so there will be a fierce battle just to make Sunday’s 16-car field.

FUNNY CAR

Austin Prock has won the last two Mission Foods NHRA Funny Car events in Bristol and Richmond so he’s naturally the favorite this weekend. Prock has had his way with the Funny Car field lately, but his biggest threats figure to come from Matt Hagan, Ron Capps, Bob Tasca III, and J.R. Todd. It’s also worth noting that the defending event champ is Blake Alexander, who opens at an attractive +1458 price meaning a $10 wager would deliver a hefty profit of $145.80 should he repeat.

PRO STOCK

Aaron Stanfield was one of the favorites in Richmond and delivered a strong performance that included a nearly-perfect light in his final-round win over Dallas Glenn. The Pro Stock field is wide open as we’ve already had six different winners in the season’s first nine races. Not surprisingly, championship leaders Greg Anderson, Glenn, Erica Enders, and Stanfield are this week’s favorites.

PRO STOCK MOTORCYCLE

Gaige Herrera has continued to make history with his 10th straight victory and a 39-round win streak following the Richmond race. Herrera’s performance is reflected in his odds as he’s an overwhelming favorite to win this week’s Norwalk event and will likely continue to be until someone finally steps up and beats him. The list of riders who are most likely to hand Herrera his first loss of the season include Matt Smith, Chase Van Sant, Angie Smith, and Herrera’s own teammate, Richard Gadson.
