Lucas Oil National Championship Points

Contestants in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series categories (Super Street is division only) compete for NHRA
Sportsman championship titles on the basis of total points earned at NHRA national, regional, and divisional events.

Regional and divisional events: Racing featured at NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series points competition events within
NHRA’s seven geographic divisions. Regional and divisional race dates and locations are determined by NHRA in
cooperation with host tracks and are announced upon finalization in National Dragster, on NHRARacer.com, and in other
publications.

TOP ALCOHOL DRAGSTER AND TOP ALCOHOL FUNNY CAR

National Championship:
Each driver is eligible to earn points at their first five regional and first ten national events (waived events do not count
toward the totals). A driver’s best three regional and best seven national finishes from their eligible points-earning
events will constitute their national championship points total.

Region Championship:
May compete for home-region points at first six regional events (waived events do not count toward the total) and will
be credited with their best four finishes (including up to two out-of-region races –- must participate at a minimum of
three home region events) counting toward the regional championship.

COMPETITION ELIMINATOR, SUPER STOCK, STOCK, SUPER COMP AND SUPER GAS

National Championship:
Each driver is eligible to compete for points at their first eight divisional and six national events (waived events do not
count toward the totals). A driver’s best five divisional and best three national finishes from their eligible points-earning
events will constitute their national championship points total.

Division Championship (SUPER STREET, TOP SPORTSMAN, TOP DRAGSTER, SPORTSMAN MOTORCYCLE):
Each driver is eligible to compete for home-division points at up to eight division events (waived events do not count
toward the total) and will be credited with their best five finishes (including up to two out-of-division races - A minimum
of three home division events must apply in the final total) counting toward the division championship.

TOP DRAGSTER and TOP SPORTSMAN presented by RIGHT TRAILERS

National Championship:
Each driver is eligible to compete for points at their first eight divisional and five national events (waived events do not
count toward the totals). A driver’s best five divisional and best three national finishes from their eligible points-earning
events will constitute their national championship points total.

EVENT POINTS WAIVER (all classes)

Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Comp, SS, STK, SC, SG, TD, TS, SST, and ETM competitors at a national,
regional, or divisional event will have the option to not claim an event for points. If electing to not claim event points,
DRIVER OR RIDER will need to notify the Race or Division Director by filing a points waiver form in person prior to the first
pair of their category going down track in the first qualifying/time trial session of that event. If the Race or Division
Director has not been notified prior to your respective first session, the event will count towards your championship
points total.

All competitors at a home region or home division events will earn points toward the JEGS Allstars program regardless if
event is being waived.

DECLARING HOME REGION/DIVISION

At the time a driver enters their first Lucas Oil Regional or Divisional event of the season, it is required they declare
which of the four NHRA Regions/seven NHRA Divisions is to be their home Region/Division for the season. Contestants
may not be listed in more than one Division in the same category.

In all NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series categories points are awarded at national, regional, and divisional events as

All remaining event non-qualifiers or no-shows in eliminations will automatically receive 10 points. A minimum of 10 points will be awarded to all contestants upon completion of event tech inspection and registration. Points will not be awarded for qualifying positions in any NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series categories.
