The May 2026 issue of NHRA National Dragster magazine, featuring race coverage from the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals and NHRA Southern Nationals, is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to NHRA Members around the world.

The return of NHRA national event racing to Georgia with the rebirth of the Southern Nationals was capped by a great weekend at sold-out South Georgia Motorsports Park, where Jordan Vandergriff scored his first career win in Funny Car. Track operator Raul Torres takes us behind the scenes into what made the event so successful, and ND Editor Phil Burgess places Vandergriff’s win into historical context.

Sean Bellemeur, who helped make some history at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals, where his Top Alcohol Funny Car victory made him the 26th driver in NHRA history to reach 50 career wins, talks about his momentous feat in an exclusive interview.

Columnist Luke Bogacki talks about the upcoming Top 50 Sportsman Racers list, while Joe Castello honors first responders and military members with personal tales of his own.

The father-son Hartman family of Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown competition, Peak Performance Sportsman Racer of the Month Mike Wiblishouser, and Jr. Dragster competitors Paige Doney and Bo and Rhett Smith are spotlighted in the issue, while the ins and outs of AN fitting choices and uses are the subject of this issue’s Racing Technology column.

Racing coverage from both the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series helps round out an action-packed May issue.
