New National Dragster issue takes a deep dive to preview 2026 season

The February 2026 issue of NHRA National Dragster magazine, featuring a comprehensive look at the season ahead, is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to NHRA Members around the world.
This issue is the final season preview before the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series kicks off in Gainesville, and it’s packed with all of the latest news and analysis ahead of the season opener: Who’s doing what and with whom? Who should we keep our eyes on? How will Auston Prock fare at his new home? Or Josh Hart? Or Alexis DeJoria? Or Tony Stewart? This year’s historically crazy, mixed-up follow-the-bouncing-ball Silly Season assured us that we have way more questions than answers at this point. (Funny Car hero Jack Beckman thinks he knows some of the answers; check out his intriguing interview in the “Five Minutes With” feature.)
The issue is packed with driver profiles just waiting to be autographed by your favorites and, because it’s the 75th anniversary, there are several historic deep dives into NHRA lore, with everything from tracking the major evolutionary periods of the Pro classes to the greatest moments in event history at every stop along the tour.
National Dragster editor Phil Burgess sizes it all up in his “Launch Pad” column, while Joe Castello joins WFO in his appreciation for the Chasing Speed docuseries. Three-time world champ Luke Bogacki also has some final words before the first tires turn, offering racers some advice about dealing with disappointing race outings in his monthly “Science of Winning” column.
There’s also a historic look back at Sportsman drivers who reached the rare 700-point score in a season, a tribute to Ed Iskenderian, and Brenda Grubbs takes us inside the world of Sportsman racer Steve Foley.
The issue also provides a race-by-race look at the season ahead, packed with all of the info you need to buy tickets, get there, and what to expect once you do, and a thorough examination of all of the special programs on tap for the NHRA 75th Anniversary celebration.
