$7,500 Aeromotive Showdown adds extra stakes to St. Louis Pro Mod qualifying
NHRA Pro Mod qualifying at the NAPA Auto Parts NHRA Midwest Nationals will feature an added battle this weekend with the $7,500 Aeromotive Showdown.
The special qualifying award will go to the driver with the quickest average elapsed time across all four qualifying rounds, rewarding consistency throughout qualifying.
Aeromotive has deep roots in NHRA Pro Mod and drag racing. Founded in 1994 by racer and aerospace engineer Steve Matusek, the Kansas-based company engineers and manufactures high-performance fuel pumps and fuel-system components, with many of its products developed and proven at the racetrack.
“Aeromotive is proud to sponsor the Pro Mod Showdown in St. Louis,” said Matt Brewer, Director of Motorsports/Engineering at Aeromotive. “Pro Mod has played an important role in Aeromotive’s history, and we’re excited to support the racers who continue to push the limits of performance.”
Aeromotive and Waterman fuel-system components are used throughout the NHRA Pro Mod field, supporting turbocharged, supercharged and nitrous combinations.
With $7,500 on the line, every qualifying run will count as teams chase the best four-run average and the Aeromotive Showdown title
