The March issue of NHRA National Dragster, featuring coverage of the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals and packed with interesting feature stories, is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to NHRA Members around the world.
From cover subject Chad Green’s impressive win in Funny Car, the continued domination of Antron Brown in Top Fuel and Gaige Herrera in Pro Stock Motorcycle, and the back-and-forth Pro Stock battle between Greg Anderson and Dallas Glenn to the wild Florida weekend, the annual season opener from Gainesville Raceway is well covered in stories, photos, and columns from a panel of experts.
The issue also covers the Laris Motorsports Insurance NHRA Cajun SPORTSnationals with salutes to all of the event winners, as well as a slew of early results from the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series across the country and the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series season-opening March Meet.
The staff takes a deep dive into the list of successful Sportsman racers still inexplicably looking for their first world championships, spends time with second-generation Funny Car racer Bobby Bode, who talks about his new partnership with Del Worsham, and takes a look back at Top Fuel history as we approach the class’ milestone 1,000th event.
The spotlight is also on three more Sportsman racers, Chad Guilford (who just returned to the winner’s circle after a long absence), Don Bevers, who has been selected as March’s National Dragster Sportsman Racer of the Month, and the Brooks family, subject of this issue’s Travels With Brenda column.
World champion columnist Luke Bogacki talks about getting his sons started in Jr. Dragster racing and the exciting new online program he’s developed, and tech editor Evan Smith shares do’s and don’t’s about the all-important pre-race burnout procedure.
