Chris King set to rep NHRA at Milwaukee Admirals' Motorsports Night
NHRA Funny Car driver and team owner Chris King will participate in the Milwaukee Admirals’ Motorsports Night, Jan. 10, joining fellow professional racers from NASCAR and IndyCar.
The Admirals, who play in the American Hockey League, will be squaring off against the Texas Stars at UW-Milwaukee (UWM) Panther Arena, one of Milwaukee's iconic sports and entertainment complexes. King will be available to the media prior to the game and will also be recognized during the first period. Throughout the game, King and the rest of the drivers will be signing autographs throughout the arena.
“I am thrilled to be representing NHRA and my Howards Cams/Competition Products Dodge Charger Funny Car team at the Admirals game,” said King, who plans to kick off his season at the historic NHRA Gatornationals in March. “I still play a little hockey, and growing up, I always wanted to play for the Admirals, so this will be an awesome experience. I am looking forward to talking about drag racing with the players as well as the other drivers who will be there. It should be a fun night to help promote NHRA and motorsports.”
Joining King will be racing stars NASCAR Xfinity driver Sam Mayer, NTT IndyCar Series driver Nolan Siegel, Indy NXT driver Jordan Missig, NASCAR driver Josh Bilicki, and NASCAR Trucks Champion Johnny Sauter. The Motorsports Night promotion will feature a one-of-a-kind racing-themed Admirals hat and special seating. For more information on the Motorsports Night promo package, check it out here.
Currently, the Admirals are right behind the Stars in the Central Division standings, so King is looking forward to a competitive and exciting game. The Milwaukee Admirals are currently third in the Central Division with a 16-10 record. The game will be broadcast on FloHockey. The American Hockey League is comprised of four divisions with more than 30 teams spread across the United States and Canada.
