While the plan remains to put highly regarded youngster Dylan Winefsky behind the wheel of the Nitro Moose entry in 2025, Hale will guide the car in its debut at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Prior to the event, Dylan will test the car’s readiness with some burnouts and backups at Firebird Motorsports Park on Oct. 18, then begin his license upgrade from Nostalgia Funny Car on the Monday after the Las Vegas event.

Hale has a long background in Funny Car racing, including multiple Nostalgia Funny Car wins and championships and spent a season driving for Jim Dunn on the NHRA national event tour.

“John will be a great fit with our team as we shake down our new car,” said Dylan’s father, Robert. “Dylan is looking forward to learning from John, who has been a friend and supporter since Dylan's Jr. Dragster days. John will be on hand Monday after the race to offer Dylan guidance as he makes his license upgrade runs in preparation for taking over the driving duties in 2025.”

Supporters for the car’s debut include Best of Texas Barbeque Sauce, Powerbuilt Tools, Goodridge USA, Stith Printing Inc., Torco USA, CRC Industries, Reid Rocker Arms, Advanced Machine Works, Roberts Car Care, BBQ Life, NGK, and NTK.
