Nightfire Nationals

Idaho’s largest motorsports event, the 53rd annual Nightfire Nationals presented by Bi-Mart returns to Firebird Raceway on Friday-Sunday, Aug. 2-4.

The track’s “signature Nitro event” will feature an impressive field of AA/Funny Cars, AA/Fuel Altereds, AA/Fuel Dragsters, Pro Modifieds, and more throughout the three-day and -night event. New for 2024, the Funny Car class has been expanded to a 16-car qualified field thanks to Valvoline Instant Oil Change. The Nightfire is a key points stop for AA/FC and AA/FD in the 2024 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series chase.

Defending Nightfire champions include Bobby Cottrell (Funny Car), Tyler Hilton (Top Fuel), and Johnny West (Fuel Altered).

Furthermore, Firebird will host the track’s largest sportsman event of the year better known as the Bracketeers, which originated in 1976. A record purse is up for the taking in Super Pro, Pro, Heavy, Sled/Bike, Pro Comp, and Top Fire (two Quick 16 qualified classes) over the three-day time span.
