FTI Pro Mod Showdown

FTI Performance and Finish Line Consultants will continue to present the special FTI Pro Mod Showdown award, which will first take place during qualifying in the Congruity NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by LearnEV+ at this weekend’s NHRA 55th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at historic Gainesville Raceway.

The FTI Pro Mod Showdown will consist of the driver putting together the best e.t. average during the four qualifying rounds. The winner will receive $7,500 from FTI Performance, continuing the strong recent momentum in the NHRA Pro Mod category.

“FTI Performance and NHRA Pro Mod racing go hand in hand,” said Krista Baldwin, Director of Marketing of the Wharton Automotive Group. “What better way to celebrate that relationship than with the FTI Pro Mod Showdown. We will be contesting the showdown through the qualifying rounds. The team with the best combined e.t. average will win the big check of $7,500. FTI Performance owner and nitro Funny Car racer Paul Lee will present the winning check at the driver’s intro presentations on Sunday prior to eliminations. We are super excited to get to Gainesville and get the 2024 NHRA season underway.”

Two rounds of qualifying in the Congruity NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by LearnEV+ take place on Friday at 12:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET, while the final qualifying rounds are at 11:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET on Saturday. The first round of eliminations is slated for 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, with the FTI Pro Mod Showdown adding another exciting incentive for the class over the first two days at the NHRA Gatornationals.

“We are really excited for all our racers to be able to compete for special awards such as this one, it adds a bit more spice to the racing and gives the teams extra reward for their hard work. With 27 entries for Gainesville this week, there’s no doubt they’ll be trying their best to win the FTI Showdown,” said Debbie O’Rourke of Finish Line Consultants. “The racers, NHRA, and our sponsors are truly a community that are working together to benefit everyone. We believe that having our own space on the NHRA on FOX broadcast and creating the Road to the Championship sets us up for success, and we welcome new and future racers to the class.”
