Diehl teams with Speedtech Motorsports for 2024 with exciting 2025 plans
NHRA Funny Car racer Jeff Diehl and Jeff Diehl Racing have announced a new collaboration with up-and-coming speed shop Speedtech Motorsports and its founder, Kevin Moore, for the remainder of 2024 season and through 2025.
The new two-year partnership officially launches this weekend at the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals. Speedtech Motorsports has a long history in vintage racing, exotic cars, tractor pulls, and now NHRA.
“Due to some recent internal circumstances and changes for this race, we decided this was a good time to announce our new project together. This is an incredible opportunity to partner with Kevin and Speedtech, right in my own backyard," said Diehl, who calls Monterey, Calif., home. "Kevin is 30 minutes away, giving us a great opportunity to work through the car together."
JDR and Speedtech Motorsports also announced they will field two Funny Cars in 2025.
"We’re excited about 2025 and the opportunity to put two cars out on the track," said Moore, "We expect to be competitive with Jeff’s leadership. NHRA nitro Funny Car has always been our goal, and an association with Jeff puts us on the map.”
Additional partners for Jeff Diehl Racing include Borrmann’s Steel Co, Red Line Oil, So-Cal Speed Shop, Wildwood Express, Spell Paving, Central Valley Auto Haus, Nitro*A*gogo!/Cult of Nitro, Nitro Barry, JS Solutions, BR Motorsports, Woody’s Custom Headers, Shirt Lizard, and Excel Drywall.
