Blake Alexander, Greens announce second Funny Car team at PRI Show
Blake Alexander and Chad and Hunter Green unveiled their ambitious plans to expand to a two-car Funny Car team during Thursday morning’s Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show in Indianapolis, alongside NHRA announcer Brian Lohnes. The Blake Alexander Racing and Chad Green Motorsports team is setting its sights on a competitive 2025 season.
The new program will see Alexander competing in 13 to 14 events, while Hunter Green plans to run five races. The two-car team aims to make its debut at the Phoenix race, but there's a chance they could have everything in place to kick off their season at the iconic Gainesville opener.
Building a second Funny Car operation is a monumental undertaking, requiring extensive resources and support. Alexander and the Greens acknowledged the help of racers like Tony Stewart, Leah Pruett, and Jimmy Prock, who have been instrumental in sourcing the parts and pieces needed to make this expansion a reality.
