Pep Boys and Mac Tools have joined the team of partners of the NHRA Youth and Education Services (YES) Program.

The NHRA YES Program is the only full-time education program in motorsports providing quality educational content and activities for schools and youth organizations nationwide. The YES Program invites students to NHRA national events to see first-hand the career opportunities within the motorsports field.

Pep Boys, one of the nation’s leading automotive service networks, is also now the official auto service partner of NHRA. With locations across the country, Pep Boys employs thousands of technicians, many of whom are ASE-certified. Pep Boys’ Race to 2026 initiative is part of the company’s commitment to helping to close the nation’s skills gap through partnerships with technical schools, apprenticeships, and ongoing training and development.

“Pep Boys is passionate about showing tomorrow’s technicians how promising a future in this growing field can be,” said Brian Kaner, CEO, Pep Boys. “We’re looking forward to meeting with students across the country and attracting them to the field of automotive service.”

Mac Tools has been involved with NHRA since 2001 as Top Fuel veteran Doug Kalitta’s primary sponsor. Headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, Mac Tools strives to provide quality tools and equipment to its distributors, franchisees, and customers.

“Mac Tools is pleased to continue our involvement with NHRA as an official partner of the Youth and Education Services,” said Mike Brubaker, Vice President of Sales for Mac Tools. “As a global leader in the automotive industry, and a company committed to helping to empower future makers, this partnership further supports our goal of inspiring and educating students to pursue a career in the trades and inspiring the future tradespeople.”

“We are thrilled to bring on Pep Boys and Mac Tools to the family of partners of the NHRA YES Program,” Brad Gerber, NHRA Vice President and Chief Development Officer. “With these four companies on board, we know the YES Program will continue to inspire students to look for career opportunities within the automotive field. A great resource for these opportunities is NHRA’s Launch program.”

NHRA Launch Motorsports Careers allows individuals and companies within the motorsports industry to connect for career opportunities. Individuals who are looking for jobs may search for openings within the portal while companies with available jobs may post openings.
