Kris Whitfield won Super Gas at the Mile-High Nationals for third time in the last six years, wheeling his ’27-T Ford roadster to a final-round victory over Ray Schoneman. Whitfield, who also won this event, back-to-back in 2016 and ’17, grabbed a strong holeshot and controlled the race that ended with a win in a double-breakout, 10.482 to 10.475.
