Leverich Racing and its driver Joe Morrison have announced the launch of #RacersToTheRescue, a cause marketing program designed to assist local businesses hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re incredibly fortunate to be able to race cars for a living, and this is our way of trying to give back to the communities and the businesses that support us by supporting them,” said Morrison, who drives the Leverich Top Fuel entry.

Local racers in select markets will nominate a local restaurant or other small business severely affected by COVID-19 restrictions. During the race weekend, participating race teams and fans will bring their groups to the nominated restaurant for dinners or will otherwise support the business to provide a boost over the course of the weekend.

During the race, the nominated business will be featured on the Leverich Racing Top Fuel car.  The selected business will also receive prominent placement on the #RacersToTheRescue website, racerstotherescue.com.

In addition, each week Morrison will interview the business owners on a livestreaming show to give them a platform to share their story.  These interviews will be part of a season-long video series.

“The drag racing community is filled with amazing, caring people. I believe that by spotlighting these small businesses who are fighting to survive, people will join us in supporting them.”
