Jim Dunn Racing spent a very busy offseason preparing for the 2020 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

As soon as the 2019 season ended in mid-November, the team immediately began preparing a new McKinney-built Funny Car that will debut at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com.

Long time sponsor partner Oberto Snacks will have its Cattleman’s Cut Beef Jerky brand highlighting the majority of primary graphics on the Funny Car, along with several new partners the team will introduce throughout the season.

Cattleman’s Cut was popular with the fans during the 2019 season which featured retail promotions, a visit from brand ambassador Carmen Electra during the Dodge Mile-High NHRA Nationals, and appearances by the team at autograph sessions and tradeshows.

In addition to the new McKinney chassis, the team has also returned to a 5-disc clutch set-up, installed a new fuel system, a new on-board computer system, and has added several crew members to the team.

Driver Jim Campbell will return for his third consecutive season behind the wheel and will be mentored by drag racing Hall of Fame driver and team owner Jim Dunn.
