Charlotte and Las Vegas Motor Speedways step up to help local communities

Charlotte Motor Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway, both home to NHRA Member Tracks that each host to two NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series national events, are making their facilities available to help during the ongoing pandemic.

zMAX Dragway, part of the Charlotte Motor Speedway complex and host to two NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series national events, has become the first professional sports venue in the country to serve the community as a remote testing site during the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.  In partnership with the speedway, Atrium Health has created a Coronavirus Testing Center at zMAX Dragway, part of the Charlotte Motor Speedway complex. [Read more]

Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which also hosts two NHRA national events at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, will host four Red Cross blood drives beginning Friday, March 27. Other drives will be held on April 2, April 7 and April 11. The drives will take place in the ThriveHive Digital Center in the speedway infield, and will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
