TascaParts.com will sponsor Bob Tasca III and his Tasca Racing Ford Shelby Mustang Funny Car for the first time this season at the Virginia NHRA Nationals.

“Last year our online parts division picked up the sponsorship for the Englishtown event and when the race became available this year at Richmond we jumped at the chance to do it again,” said Tasca. “I like to tell people we are the OEM version of JEGS. We sell original factory replacement parts online at an affordable price and with really fast shipping. TascaParts.com offers factory parts for Ford vehicles along with many other brands. TascaParts.com has quickly become one of the largest OEM sellers globally.”

On the track, Tasca Racing keeps improving, and Tasca is excited about getting to Virginia.

“I have some great memories in Richmond,” he said. “Many people don’t know but that is the home of my very first win in NHRA competition. I won the Alcohol Funny Car divisional race back in 2006. I’ll never forget that feeling and the desire to keep on winning. That’s exactly what our plan is going into this weekend. We have gotten stronger and stronger over these last couple of races and my team is poised to pick up our first win. It would be very special to do in our Tascaparts.com Ford Mustang.”

Coming off a semifinal finish at Chicago, Tasca is only 12 points out of the top 10.

“We have had our struggles starting out this season, but most people don’t realize that we only had six weeks to pull this program together. Considering we have a brand-new team, totally new setup, and six weeks to make it happen I’m not disappointed only being 12 points out of the top 10 this early in the season. However, trust me, this team wants and expects much more. I had a goal to come out of the east coast swing solidly in the top ten and we are in a great position to do just that.”
