Jerry Bickel Race Cars named presenting sponsor of E3 Spark Plugs Gainesville Pro Mod racing

Jerry Bickel Race Cars has been named the presenting sponsor for the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service portion of the upcoming Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.

Jerry Bickel Race Cars has been named the presenting sponsor for the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service portion of the upcoming Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals, which takes place March 15-18 at Gainesville Raceway. It is the season kickoff race and the first of 12 events during the 2018 E3 Spark Plugs Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service season.
 
At the traditional East Coast opening race, race fans will again be thrilled by the nonstop action of the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service, which offers something for every kind of hot-rodding enthusiast. The class is loaded with huge fields, talented standouts, and is highlighted by historic muscle cars like the ’67 Mustang, ’68 Firebird and ’69 Camaro, as well as a variety of late model American muscle cars. Producing more than 3,000 horsepower, the suspended door pro mod cars travel the quarter-mile in less than six seconds at speeds exceeding 250 mph.

The 2018 E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service is showcased in a 12-race schedule that includes stops at NHRA national events across the country. The 2017 season featured nine different winners, including Mike Castellana, who won two events, class newcomer Stevie “Fast” Jackson, who won two races last season, Steve Matusek, Sidnei Frigo, Jonathan Gray, Shane Molinari, three-time world champion Rickie Smith, and Steven Whiteley. Whitely is the defending winner of the event in Gainesville, posting his first victory in the class a year ago. All 12 races during the 2018 season will air on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) and FOX Sports 2 (FS2).
