Tickets for the traditional East Coast opener, the 49th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals, are on sale now for the race taking place March 15-18 at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Fla.

The tradition-rich event features the 10,000-horsepower, nitro-fueled Top Fuel dragster and Funny Car classes, along with the 200-mph Pro Stock category. The Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals also serves as the season opener for both the NHRA Mello Yello Series Pro Stock Motorcycle category and the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service.

The weekend will honor iconic figures of the sport as NHRA begins the Legends Tour, which marks the year-long celebration to the 50th anniversary of the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals taking place in 2019. Don Garlits, along with numerous other NHRA dignitaries, will be in attendance to greet fans and take part in the weekend.

Last year at the event, Tony Schumacher won his fifth race at Gainesville becoming the winningest Top Fuel racer at the historic venue and John Force won for the eighth time to lead the win total for Funny Cars. Shane Gray won at the track for the first time in Pro Stock while Eddie Krawiec nabbed his fifth in the Pro Stock Motorcycle category.

On-track action will also feature racing in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, where the future stars of the sport hone their skills.

All fans in attendance in 2018 have the exclusive chance to take home a limited-edition poster commemorating the 50th Anniversary race just by renewing their seats for 2019 on-site at Gainesville Raceway.

To purchase general-admission or reserved seats, call 800-884-NHRA (6472). Tickets also are available online at www.NHRA.com/tickets.
