It has been a great return to the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series for Funny Car fan-favorite Jack Beckman, who took over driving duties for legendary driver John Force in Brainerd following Force’s June crash, and a win at this weekend's NHRA Midwest Nationals would make it even better.

After nine NHRA national events and nearly 100 elimination rounds of drag racing, the Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown world championship will come down to the NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway, where four drivers are still in the championship hunt.

Pro Stock racer Camrie Caruso, NHRA’s 2022 Rookie of the Year, will be flying the colors of new partner Aeon Laser USA at the NHRA Midwest Nationals. Aeon Laser is one of the premier suppliers of CO2 laser systems in the United States.

The NHRA Midwest Nationals again comes at a critical juncture in the NHRA Countdown to the Championship playoffs, which will reach its midpoint at the event, scheduled for Sept. 27-29 at World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis.

The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event initially scheduled to take place Sept. 27-29 at Virginia Motorsports Park has been relocated to Maple Grove Raceway Oct. 24-27 due to unfavorable weather forecasts.
