Hot rodding is an American tradition built on innovation, creativity, and the belief that anything can be made better. 

That spirit is at the heart of the National Hot Rod Association and remains alive today through the community that Wally Parks helped create 75 years ago. Whether you drive a traditional hot rod, muscle car, sports car, race car, truck, off-road vehicle, or modern performance machine, bring it out, Saturday, June 27th, from 8-10 a.m. and become part of the scene. 

Wally Parks famously believed that "The Cars Are the Stars," and The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum Cars & Coffee is an opportunity to celebrate the vehicles and enthusiasts who continue to carry that tradition forward. 

Admission is free for participants and spectators, and all guests will receive complimentary access to the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum. Coffee and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the morning. 

We'll be Streaming the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in the Museum Gift Shop

In addition to celebrating automotive culture, attendees are encouraged to bring school supplies to support local Pomona-area elementary schools. Donations of pencils, crayons, notebooks, folders, markers, paper, and other classroom essentials will be collected during the event and distributed to students and teachers preparing for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. 

The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum Cars & Coffee is more than a gathering of vehicles. It's a chance to connect with fellow enthusiasts, share stories, explore the museum, and celebrate the culture that has inspired generations of racers, builders, and dreamers. 

Every vehicle has a story, every owner has a passion, and every participant helps keep the hot rodding tradition alive. 

As NHRA continues its  75th celebration (1951-2026), this event serves as a reminder that the organization's roots remain firmly planted in the grassroots automotive community that Wally Parks built and championed throughout his life. 

Bring your car. Bring your family. Bring a few school supplies. Most importantly, bring your enthusiasm for the hobby that continues to unite generations of automotive enthusiasts.
