National Dragster All-Star Team Pro Driver of the Year: Austin Prock
Austin Prock, who was unexpectedly thrust into the limelight this year, taking over the controls of the John Force Racing/Cornwell Quality Tools Chevy Camaro after its traditional driver, Robert Hight, elected to sit out the season for medical reasons, was voted by the fans as the Pro Driver of the Year on the 2024 National Dragster All-Star Team.
Prock, a past national event winner in Top Fuel, rose to the challenge in his first year in the new class by scoring eight wins and four runner-ups en route to the championship. That he had a record-breaking car beneath him was one thing, but he continually rose to the challenges and worked tirelessly to improve his craft throughout the year, leading to his first world championship.
Prock finished just ahead of Top Fuel champion Antron Brown and Pro Stock titlist Greg Anderson in the fan balloting.
