It’s final eliminations day at The World’s Biggest Drag Race, the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals, where the most prestigious victories of the season will be won or lost at the climax of the six-day event.

There are a ton of incredible storylines created ahead of the event and through three days of qualifying in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series that will keep fans at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on the edge of their seats throughout Labor Day.

• Brittany Force and Ron Capps, the low respective low qualifiers in Top Fuel and Funny Car, are both looking for their first U.S. Nationals victories. Both were runner-ups here last year – Force to Steve Torrence and Capps to Tim Wilkerson.
• Force is looking to join her famous father John, a five-time Indy winner, and sister Ashley, who’s won The Big Go three times, as a U.S. Nationals champ.
• Capps will be looking to double his victory total a the event after having won Sunday’s Pep Boys NHRA Funny Car All-Star Callout event and the $80,000 top prize. It was the fourth specialty event that Caps has won in Indy without bagging the big Monday prize. 
• Capps is a two-time runner-up at Indy, last year to Wilk and in 2017 to J.R. Todd.
• Top Fuel world champ Steve Torrence, who won Saturday’s Pep Boys NHRA Top Fuel All-Star Callout, will also be looking for a double payday. The defending event champ qualified No. 3 behind Force and Justin Ashley.
• Pro Stock low qualifier Greg Anderson is hoping to win his milestone 100th event and thinks that the sport’s biggest stage is the perfect place to do it. Anderson locked down with No. 99 at last year’s season finale in Pomona and has been turned away twice in final rounds this season.
• Anderson has won the U.S. Nationals six times, but not since 2011.
• Top Fuel’s Doug Kalitta, winner of this event in 2019, and Pro Stock Motorcycle’s Eddie Krawiec, a here-time Indy champ, are hoping to use the event to score their respective 50th career wins.
• Pro Stock Motorcycle low qualifier Angelle Sampey is looking to break a 20-year victory drought at Indy, having not won the event since going back-to-back in 2001 and 2002.
• The event is the last race of the regular season and the last chance for drivers to punch their tickets for the six-race Countdown to the Championship playoffs that start at the next event, the Pep Boys NHRA Nationals in Reading, Pa. Entering final eliminations, the following drivers have clinched their berths:

Top Fuel: Brittany Force, Mike Salinas, Steve Torrence, Justin Ashley, and Josh Hart

Funny Car: Robert Hight, Matt Hagan, Ron Capps, Bob Tasca III, John Force, J.R. Todd, Alexis DeJoria, Cruz Pedregon, and Tim Wilkerson

Pro Stock: Erica Enders, Aaron Stanfield, Kyle Koretsky, Greg Anderson, Troy Coughlin Jr., and Dallas Glenn

Pro Stock Motorcycle: Joey Gladstone, Angelle Sampey, Eddie Krawiec, Matt Smith, Steve Johnson, Angie Smith, Jerry Savoie, Karen Stoffer, and Marc Ingwersen
