The California hot rod culture will be on full display at the tradition-rich California Hot Rod Reunion presented by Automobile Club of Southern California at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif., Oct. 21-23.

The three-day event, produced by and benefitting the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, will feature nonstop entertainment as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. Historic cars, quarter-mile nitro nostalgia Top Fuel and Funny Cars, racing legends and heroes of the sport will all be on site for the extravaganza.

The weekend opens Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 a.m. with qualifying and exhibition runs in more than a dozen different categories, including Top Fuel and Funny Car first rounds at 11 a.m.

There’s plenty to do at the conclusion of racing Friday night as a special 25th anniversary dedication and ceremony is planned, honoring all Grand Marshals and Honorees from the past 24 years. Following this ceremony, there will be a Ring of Fire Cacklefest presentation. Friday night will be capped off by the Reunion after-party and reception, a great time to renew old friendships, meet legends and heroes of the sport and simply have a great time, at the DoubleTree Hotel.

On Saturday, Oct. 22, the activities continue on and off the track during the course of an action packed day. Qualifying continues starting at 8 a.m. with eliminations rounds starting at 4:30 p.m. with Top Fuel hitting the track first.

Following the twilight memorial, the famous Cacklefest will end the evening’s events as the entire track will be home to classic nitro burning dragsters of days past as they roar to life and fill the night air with the sound of high-powered motors in full song.

On Sunday, Oct. 23, the California Hot Rod Reunion presented by Automobile Club of Southern California concludes with crowning champions in each of the racing categories as well as the Hot Rod Heritage Series Champions taking stage.

Single day tickets for the event are $25 and a three-day pass can be purchased for $65 if purchased by Oct. 7th. Children 15 and under are free with a paid adult.
