BIO

Third-year Top Fuel racer Buddy Hull will enter the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing season looking to make major strides behind the wheel of the Methanol Moonshine/ Vertex Roofing and General Contractors Top Fuel dragster. Hull grew up in Central Illinois and is a third generation drag racer. At 41, the former competitive powerlifter is making a name for himself in the business and sports world.

In the 2022 off-season Hull purchased Tim Wilkerson’s entire Top Fuel operation and will be campaigning the race car at a select number of races in 2022.  Hull made his debut at the historic Southern Nationals in 2021 and competed in 12 races, qualifying for seven events. His best qualifying effort was the Winternationals where he qualified No. 8 and dropped a close race to 2020 rookie of the year Justin Ashley in the first round.

When he is away from the track Hull runs Vertex Roofing and General Contractors as well as several other companies. He has raced a wide variety of race cars over the past seventeen years.
