NHRA and World Wide Technology Raceway officials announced that due to continuing inclement weather, Friday racing has been canceled at the NHRA Midwest Nationals. Friday ticket holders can exchange their tickets for Saturday or Sunday tickets, or use toward purchase of a 2025 ticket.

Richard Copertino, Paul Northrop, David Harvey, Kevin Sutliffe, and Danny Hoff took home titles at the Division 1 Summit Series Finals to earn berths to the National Championship in Las Vegas. Jeff Krushinskie will join them as the Super Pro wild card.

The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship continues at this weekend's 13th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway. The pivotal event caps a three-race stretch and marks the halfway point in the six-race playoffs.

The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event initially scheduled to take place Sept. 27-29 at Virginia Motorsports Park has been relocated to Maple Grove Raceway Oct. 24-27 due to unfavorable weather forecasts.
