Chasing Speed, a new six-part docuseries from VICE TV and the NHRA, premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT on VICE TV and pulls the curtain back on the raw speed, pressure, and personalities of NHRA Drag Racing. It will also be available on the VICE YouTube channel on Jan. 22.

From 340-plus-mph record runs to championship battles fought one pass at a time, Chasing Speed follows the teams and drivers chasing glory across the 2025 NHRA season. You’ll see the intensity behind the scenes, the stakes on the starting line, and the culture that’s fueled 75 years of drag racing history.

“I’m thrilled that NHRA Drag Racing is finally getting its due and being featured in this way,” said three-time NHRA funny Car world champion Ron Capps. “For so long, I’ve said NHRA needs its own show, because this truly is a one-of-a-kind sport, and there are so many different people and personalities that come together from all walks of life and duke it out week after week. It’s cool to be on a platform like VICE and have an opportunity to introduce a new audience to the sport we all love. I think the big speeds and header flames and all those great NHRA glamour shots will draw people in, but it’ll be the behind-the-scenes stuff that’ll really keep them watching.”
