After time to reflect, Ryan Oehler on his first NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle win
Ryan Oehler: Oh, it feels good. I've been hungry for a win. I haven't had a win and, uh, you know, professional drag racing in category since 2016. So that was coming up from the Pro Mod Harley class into the, now the Pro Stock class, which we knew when we were getting into this. This was going to be a very, uh, difficult challenge to start, you know, carving our way to the top. And now that we're doing it, uh, it's giving me chills just right now, just talking about it. So, I mean, at the end of the track, when we, when we knew we won and we knew we beat Matt Smith three weeks ago, um, it felt great. You know, the emotions go from all over from thinking back to how long my dad has been trying to do this. And it took us becoming a team together.
And then 30 years goes by and I, and I go from the little kid in the bike shop now to the guy at the track, that's bringing home a Wally. So it was, uh, it was an amazing feeling. And, uh, I can just, we probably all watched the video of us making that run. And the, and I bet we watched a thousand times, so, you know, between all of us and, you know, the fist bump in the air at the end, that just, that was just everything for us, for our family and our team to, to bring one home. And, uh, we look forward to doing and hopefully do again here this weekend.
