Some of the highlights of the race include reigning world champ Joe Amato kicking off his title defense in Top Fuel with a final-round victory over Gary Ormsby, Al Segrini winning Funny Car for the second year in a row in spectacular, fire-blazing fashion, and a classic Bob Glidden vs. Warren Johnson showdown in Pro Stock.
