Crew Chief Confidential

NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom caught up with Rahn Tobler, crew chief for Ron Capps, after his big Funny car win last weekend at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte, as well as Bobby Lagana, co-crew chief for Top Fuel winner Steve Torrence.

Tobler spoke about the challenges of the Four-Wides, and the fact that he gave Capps a very consistent race car. Capps and Tobler will be going to Atlanta in hopes of sweeping the early Spring Swing.

Lagana, along with crew chief Richard Hogan, had an emotional weekend but finally broke the Don Schumacher reign of Top Fuel terror by taking the win. The Spring Swing has been good to the Capco team with a runner-up finish in Houston and the breakthrough win at Charlotte.
