Ever wonder what an NHRA drag race looks like from the chief starter’s point of view? NHRA fans and race teams can enjoy a new level of immersion and interaction with their favorite sport as NHRA experiments with 360-degree video from the Mello Yello starting-line camera.

Viewers can interact with the videos on desktop and mobile devices by swiping up, down, left, and right with a mouse or finger to pan and follow the action, or they can just enjoy a customized viewing angle of a run or even the crew’s reaction.

These two most recent examples feature the Top Fuel and Funny Car final rounds from the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals in Dallas, where Antron Brown defeated Steve Torrence to win Top Fuel and Matt Hagan beat teammate Ron Capps in Funny Car.
